Certification operates under a permanent principle:

no pay for play - ever.

The Beef Advocate does not pursue perfection.

It pursues accountability, evidence and trust.

While The Beef Advocate is founder-led, every certification decision is supported by at least one independent expert assessment and documented evidence review.

ADVISORY COUNCIL

The Beef Advocate is supported by an independent Advisory Council, comprising internationally recognised experts across:

    •    Beef production and cattle farming

    •    Animal welfare and supply chain integrity

    •    Meat craftsmanship and ageing

    •    Sustainability and resource management

 

Members of the Advisory Council provide guidance on criteria development, industry developments and best practices. They do not hold commercial interests in restaurants undergoing certification.

ASSESSMENT

The Beef Advocate is published by Ekkehard Knobelspies as an independent personal authority.

 

The initiative is supported by an Advisory Council of internationally recognised experts, including:

•   Agricultural and animal welfare

    specialists

•   Supply chain and sustainability

    experts

•   Technical advisors in premium

     beef and Wagyu

 

Certification decisions are based on documented criteria and assessment processes.

World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants does not influence certification outcomes.

    restaurant experience across 29 criteria.

 •  The certification assesses the Beef
